Vivatech 2017 a mediatized success
With 60 000 visitors, the event was covered by 1,850 journalists from around the world. Vivatech is aiming to become the world’s premier innovation conference.
Co-organized by the group the Echos and Publicis, the event attracted the biggest names in technology and newcomers alike. Startups were given time to showcase their new innovations and work in 20 different business labs.
The highlight of the event was the announced 10-billion-euro fund launched by the French government in support of startups. The fund was announced at the event by President Emmanuel macron himself on June 15.
Welcomed by the smiling robot Pepper, visitors were mind blown by new technologies filling the Paris Expo porte de Versailles. Saturday, a day dedicated to the general public, showcased among other technology, drones, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, 3D printing, and autonomous cars. Technophiles wandered the startup booths, many of them taking the time to discover our solution.
The new international innovation exhibition to follow
Maurice Lévy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Publicis, co-organizer of the event, is “happy” to see Paris at the heart of the world of digital technology “. Frace was not the only country represented. We found us rubbing shoulders with those from the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and China.
“The relation between big groups as well as start-ups stays in the DNA of VivaTech, but this year we wanted to give a more international dimension, including the presence of big investors. It will be even more stressed next year […] This was just a preview. Our purpose is to show more and more “, explains Julie Ranty, Director of VivaTech. Eventually Vivatech could become the competitor of the Las Vegas CES.
MyBus was noticed, exchanged with professionals, and spoke with both investors as well as the general public. Our digital ticket solution, the m-Ticket, interested the curious visitor.
MyBus thanks the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region for welcoming the team members to the exhibition. We also thank JCDecaux for giving us the opportunity to demo our product on their digital totem.
