Orange shirts and sneakers such as MyBus‘ colors, a bus-shaped stand inviting visitors to discover the app for the city of tomorrow. Take a seat on the bus! The figures of CES 2018 Las Vegas speak for themselves. More than 184,000 participants including 4,000 exhibitors, 860,732 tweets on CES 2018 and 450,554 people used the hashtag #CES2018.
The CES 2018: a fully-fledged event
From January 9 to 12, 2018, MyBus was present at stand 51047 of the CES 2018 to show is dematerialized ticket’s solution : the m-Ticket. The start-up wants to simplify the life of public transport’s users. Furthermore, MyBus solution was at the heart of the 2018 theme: “Smart Cities”.
The CES Las Vegas is a bit like a hypermarket the day before Christmas. As soon as doors open, people flocks into the vastness of the CES. The stand is constantly animated by successive waves of visitors.
The first day, Mounir Mahjoubi, State’s Secretary to the Prime Minister, in charge of Digital, comes to MyBus booth. The second day, Juliette Jarry and Annabel André-Laurent, Regional Vice-Presidents, were also present. What’s more, Stevie Wonder visited Enhancia, a stand next to MyBus. The third day was marked by the presence of Florent Menegaux, Executive Vice President of the Group and Operations’ Director of Michelin. Both Florent Menegaux and MyBus discussed together about the urban mobility issues.
MyBus in the heart of the Smart City, main theme of CES 2018
Public transportation issues is not only a reality in France. On this statement, MyBus distributed flyers at the shuttle of the CES. The goal was to educate US users on public transportation issues and especially on the endless queues.
MyBus app raises awareness, mainly related to the CES Innovation Award received in the “Smart Cities” category. This prize was awarded for two innovative features developed by the start-up. On one hand, there is the PayAsYouGo system. Thanks to Mybus’ algorithm, the app chooses the best payment option to reduce commute spending each month. On the other hand, users will be able to contribute and improve travel conditions thanks to community features. MyBus creates the “Waze” of public transportation.
The work is just beginning for MyBus after an intensive CES…
In this context, MyBus got a good media impact, mainly in France, but also abroad. Indeed, the start-up was cited by Forbes among the 10 French start-ups that took off at the CES in Las Vegas.
On the business side, from the first day, MyBus has been solicited by several potential distributors in different countries such as Asia, the United States, Canada and even Australia. The team was also able to meet potential investors, industrial or institutional.
