Since Wednesday, May 16th, Keolis and Riom agglomeration trust the mobile app MyBus for the public transportation network : R’Cobus. It is now possible to buy a dematerialized ticket (m-ticket) to travel in the city network. Therefore, we can find the bus schedules on the app. The application can also calculate your route thank to your geolocation. Each user will be able to scan QR-codes that have been stocken on buses in order to validate the trip. Today, only tickets per unit or by notebooks of 10 are available. In the future, MyBus hopes to add the rest of the tariff range of R’Cobus.
A quick set up
MyBus has been in contact with Riom and Keolis for about a year to establish this partnership. Mr Frédéric BONNICHON, the President of the agglomeration, was very interested in the project, being himself innovation oriented. Likewise, Mrs. Valérie CEYSSAT, director of the development and sustainable development division of the agglomeration’s territory, constituates the partnership between Keolis and MyBus. Keolis was immediately convinced by MyBus solution for its network. That’s why they wished to set up the solution quickly and without prior experimentation.
It is therefore with pride that MyBus was able to establish in Riom. The company carry on its development in Auvergne, the native start-up’s region. Riom is bordering Clermont-Ferrand. So, it creates a real synergy between the two agglomerations. In fact, MyBus is currently in the experimental phase in Clermont-Ferrand. For the future, It could be interesting to allow the ticket’s purchasing between the two agglomerations.
